Childhood Hunger with Kings PowerPack Program

Kings Power Pack

Kings Power Packs

There are children in the Kings School District that rely on resources such as free or reduced-priced school lunches during the week. The Kings PowerPack Program is designed to meet the needs of hungry children at times when other resources may not be available. Last year the program served 270 children by placing a bag of weekend food discreetly in their backpacks on Friday mornings. That's over 8000 bags and 48,000 meals provided to kids in the Kings community last year! Each PowerPack bag contains items that are carefully selected so that a child can self-prepare their meal. The program is 100% volunteer led and operated so all proceeds go directly to the purchase and distribution of food.

The Kings PowerPack Program was founded by Joshua's Place Community Outreach Ministry and partially funded through partnerships with The Wesley Watkins Memorial Foundation, Shared Harvest Food Bank and private donations. A portion of the proceeds of every orthodontic treatment initiated in the Shine Orthodontics Maineville office goes to support the Kings PowerPack Program. Every family or individual who has received orthodontic care in our Maineville office should consider themselves a donor of the Kings PowerPack Program! Thank you for your generous support.
